Questions people ask
What is AIZEN?
AIZEN is a daily rhythm app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Five small rituals, Meditate, Move, Journal, Focus and Commit, a morning and a night that frame the day at the hours you set, over sixty guided meditations, light tasks, and an assistant that plans around how you feel. It is built to create steadiness without streaks, scores or guilt.
Is AIZEN free?
Yes. AIZEN launches free: all five rituals, the Meditate library, tasks and today’s one thing, the journal’s last seven days, the morning and night that frame your day, and three conversations with the assistant a day. The first 1,000 people to join become founding members, with AIZEN Pro free for as long as they use the app: up to 100 conversations with the assistant a day, health insights, every page of the journal, Calendar sync, app blocking while you unplug and interactive widgets. After that, Pro is a subscription for newcomers. Founding members keep it.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad on iOS 18 or later, and Apple Watch on watchOS 11 or later. Some on-device intelligence features, like generated journal prompts, need a newer device and OS.
Does AIZEN collect my data?
No account is needed, and there is no advertising and no tracking. To learn which rituals help, the app counts kinds and times, such as which ritual was held and at what hour, with a random install number and never your words or anything from Health; the name you type in Settings goes with it. It is on by default and you can turn it off in Settings, Data and Support, Help improve AIZEN. Health data is read on your device and stays there. If you turn on iCloud sync, your data lives in your own iCloud, not on a server of ours. When you talk to the assistant, your message and a short summary of your day are sent to the AI provider through AIZEN's secure proxy and are not stored by AIZEN. The privacy policy has the full detail.
How does the assistant work?
The AIZEN tab is a conversation. Tell it how you are and what is on your plate and it will plan tasks with rough durations, move things around your energy, start a ritual, or draft a journal entry that you approve before it is saved. Replies stream in as they are written. You can dictate instead of typing.
Can I use AIZEN without Apple Health?
Yes. Every ritual works without it. Connecting Apple Health adds context, such as last night's sleep when you begin the day and workouts saved from Move, and health insights are part of Pro.
Does Unplug block other apps?
Yes. Unplug is a kind of Focus: choose it in Focus and you can pick the apps that pull at you, and Apple's Screen Time shields them until the break ends, even if you quit AIZEN. Opening one shows a calm screen that says the break ends soon. Blocking needs Screen Time permission, granted once, and is part of AIZEN Pro, which founding members have free.
How do I cancel or restore a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then AIZEN. Pro stays active until the end of the current billing period. To restore a purchase on a new device, open AIZEN's settings and choose Restore Purchases.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
If iCloud sync is on, your rituals, tasks and journal stay in your own iCloud and come back when you reinstall. If it is off, everything lives only on the device and is deleted with the app.
When does AIZEN launch?
Soon. Leave your email on the home page and you will get one message when it is on the App Store. Nothing else, ever.
